Sustainable Design

Awnings have been “green” throughout the years. They keep your energy costs down by blocking the sun’s heat from entering through windows, which causes your AC system to work harder.

The American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning Engineers shows that an awning can reduce heat gain by 55 to 65 percent on southern-facing windows and 72 to 77 percent on western exposures.

When you choose Miami Awning®, you open your project to sustainable material options. We offer Sunbrella and Serge Ferrari Soltis which are recyclable awning fabrics. Our frames are made of aluminum or schedule 40 galvanized steel which are recyclable materials.
